Eco Project

The specific measures to minimize the environmental impacts are mentioned below. In addition, there are fun quizzes that let you learn more about waste separation at the festival.
Measures to Minimize the Environmental Impacts
Eco-friendly Containers
At Komaba Festival, eco-friendly containers are used. For example, peelable containers have special plastic films that can be peeled off. You can dispose of the containers without washing them by peeling off the films. This container contributes to reducing the amount of solid waste to less than one-third. Additionally, the festival uses paper cups made from recycled paper and disposable chopsticks made from sustainably sourced woods.
Environmental Policy Guidelines
The 75th Komaba Festival Committee has established the “Environmental Policy Guidelines,” declaring that the committee will take environmental measures to minimize environmental impacts and to contribute to the preservation of the environment. These guidelines outline the actions the Committee should take to minimize the environmental impacts and to ensure that the festivals can be held continuously, while fulfilling the social responsibility of the Committee.
Environmental Agenda
Based on the “Environmental Policy Guidelines,” the Committee has developed the “Environmental Agenda.” This aims to raise awareness about the environmental measures by the Committee. For the full text, please refer to the “Environmental Policy Guidelines.”
