About Komaba Festival
Where and when is Komaba Festival held?
Komaba Festival is held at the Komaba I Campus, on Nov. 22nd (Fri.) 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Nov. 23rd (Sat.) 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Nov. 24th (Sun.) 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Are there any admission limits at Komaba Festival?
The 75th Komaba Festival will be held on campus with no admission limit. Some projects will also be available online.
Is eating and drinking allowed on campus?
Yes, feel free to use Rest Areas and other places where you can sit and rest. Please sit down to eat and drink as much as possible.
How can I get to the campus?
We ask you to come by public transportation such as trains and buses, or on foot. Please refrain from using vehicles such as cars, taxis, bicycles or scooters.
Is drinking alcohol or smoking allowed on campus?
During Komaba Festival, drinking alcohol or smoking is completely prohibited on campus. Please refrain from bringing alcoholic beverages and cigarettes (including electronic ones). For details, we ask you to check the Notices. Thank you for your cooperation.
Can I visit Komaba Festival with my pet?
Pets are not allowed inside the buildings, except for assistance dogs. Please make sure your pet is kept on a leash when outdoors.
Can I re-enter the campus?
Yes. During the festival, you can enter and leave the campus anytime you want.
What should I do if I lose something?
Please come to the nearest Information Center. If it is not possible, please contact the Committee (+81-3-5454-4349).

Where can I get the official brochure?
You can get the official brochure for free at a distribution center or an Information Center. But please be sure the stock is limited. There is also an online version of the official brochure. Please click here.
Can I get the official brochure in advance?
We are afraid that we will not distribute the official brochure in advance.
Are there any official merchandise?
During Komaba Festival, we sell official merchandise at the Merchandise Store near the Communication Bldg. We also sell them through Online Merchandise Store. Other official University of Tokyo Merchandise are available at the Co-op Store. Please note that the number of items is limited, and sales will end as soon as they are sold out.
Is there any restriction on the purchase of official merchandise?
Purchase is limited to 10 items per kind. Thank you for your understanding.
Is the festival wheelchair-accessible?
We provide accessibility services so that people in wheelchairs can also enjoy the festival. For details, please check Accessibility Information.
Is there a place where I can breastfeed my baby or change diapers?
Several accessible restrooms are equipped with diaper changing tables. To check the locations, please refer to Accessibility Information. In addition, visitors can breastfeed babies or change diapers at the baby room. For details, please ask a committee member wearing a red jacket at an Information Center. The nearest Information Center from the Merchandise Store is located in front of the Co-op store.
Can I borrow a wheelchair or a stroller?
We lend visitors wheelchairs and baby carriages at the Information Centers. If you wish to borrow a wheelchair, please check here, and if you wish to borrow a stroller, please check here and make a reservation in advance. You can use your own wheelchair or stroller to get around the campus. Please note that the number of wheelchairs and strollers available is limited and we sometimes may not be able to meet your request.
About Projects
Are there any recommendations for projects?
We have some recommendations in the official brochure, and on Featured Projects. In addition, please also check out the projects organized by the Committee from Various projects organized by the Committee. If you do not know where the project you want to visit is being held, please feel free to ask a Committee member.
Are there any projects that require reservations in advance?
Some projects require reservations or numbered tickets distributed on the day, please check out in advance. You can check whether or not the project you want to participate requires reservations from each project detail page, which can be accessed from Find Projects.
Are there any projects that require numbered tickets?
Some projects require numbered tickets. If you are interested in a particular project, we recommend that you check out its project detail page ahead of time. Each project detail page can be accessed by using Find Projects or Alphabetical Index (the latter available on the official brochure as well).
Are there any projects that offer food and beverages?
Yes. Please check Find Projects for details.
Are there any events where I can see Komaba Festival Official Mascot “Komakkero”?
Yes. For example, in “Komakkero Parade,” Komakkero walks along the Icho Street, and in “Komakkero Show - Komakkero Leapt Through Time -,” Komakkero performs in a show. Also in “Take Cute Photos with Komakkero,” you can interact with Komakkero in person for a limited time. The “Komakkero Show - Komakkero Leapt Through Time -” and “Take Cute Photos with Komakkero” will be held at the West Square of Bldg. 7.
