Pamphlet Sales

We will be selling pamphlets written by volunteer students from the Math Department. The content covers a wide range of topics, with each writer discussing mathematical subjects of personal interest, from articles understandable to middle and high school students to more advanced topics at the university level. We also have columns with fun facts about the University of Tokyo's Math Department. Be sure to check it out!

Mini Lectures

These lectures explain what university-level mathematics is like to visitors. Conducted by volunteer students from the Math Department, each session lasts about 20–30 minutes. Even if you think, "There’s no way I’ll understand this," we encourage you to listen in and experience the 'mind-boggling' nature of university math!

Exhibits

These exhibits are based on surveys conducted with Math Department students. They range from displays that showcase the appeal of mathematics to fun, non-academic topics such as "We Asked the University of Tokyo’s Math Department," "A Week in the Life of a Math Major," and "Math Department Anecdotes."

At this year's Komaba Festival, we are honored to welcome QuizKnock’s Mr. Takuji Tsurusaki, an alumnus of the University of Tokyo’s Math Department! We will hold a quiz contest where visitors will compete against Mr. Tsurusaki. Don’t miss it—come and join the fun!

Talk with Mr. Tsurusaki (Sat. 11/23, 3 PM)

This is a talk session between Mr. Takuji Tsurusaki, an alumnus of the Math Department, and current students. Mr. Tsurusaki will answer questions focusing on his experiences as a math major during his time at university.
